California Women's Leadership Assn. PAC Endorses Allan Mansoor for Assembly

Mansoor leads nearest rival, Newport Beach Councilwoman
Leslie Daigle in endorsements and fundraising.

Costa Mesa – Assemblyman Mansoor announces that the California Women's Leadership Association PAC has endorsed his campaign for reelection to the State Assembly. CWLA is an organization dedicated to brining together influential women to effect meaningful change in our communities and government. One of its goals is to launch new women leaders into elected office and other positions of leadership.

“We support Allan Mansoor because he is an effective leader working to reform Sacramento,” Darcy Linn the CWLA PAC Chair. “Allan has been a strong voice for the reforms we need to restore fiscal responsibility to the state budget.”

In addition to CWLA PAC, Mansoor's endorsements include the Lincoln Club of Orange County, the Republican Party of Orange County, the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association PAC, Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, Congressman John Campbell, Senator Mimi Walters, Senator Tom Harman, Assemblywoman Diane Harkey, Assemblyman Don Wagner, Orange County Supervisor Pat Bates, and a long list of local leaders.

Allan Mansoor is serving his first term in the Legislature. Prior to his election to the State Assembly, he served eight years on the Costa Mesa City Council. He is running for reelection in the 74th Assembly District which includes Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Laguna Woods and portions of Irvine and Huntington Beach.

His campaign for reelection has been endorsed by the Lincoln Club of Orange County, the Republican Party of Orange County, Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, Congressman John Campbell, Senator Mimi Walters, Senator Tom Harman, Senator Dick Ackerman (ret.), Assembly Don Wagner, Assembly Chuck DeVore (ret.), Supervisor Pat Bates, and countless local leaders.

Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association PAC Endorses Mansoor for Assembly

Costa Mesa – Assemblyman Mansoor announces that the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association Political Action Committee has endorsed his campaign for reelection to the State Assembly.

"Allan Mansoor was insturmental in blocking an extension of the 2009 tax increase," said Jon Coupal, President of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association. "Thanks in part to Allan's efforts, the average California family saved nearly $1000 in taxes last year.

“The Governor's most recent budget proposal increases state spending by 31% over the next five years,” said Allan Mansoor. “Considering that California's taxes are the highest in the nation, we should be able to fund education without raising taxes. It's clear that we have a spending problem, but Sacramento Democrats are unwilling to address wasteful spending.”

The Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association is one of the premier taxpayer rights organizations in the state. It was founded to protect Proposition 13 and is a key voice in California for fiscal restraint and responsible tax policy.

I'm Running for Reelection

Allan Mansoor

When the highest taxed state in the country cannot fund education, there is a spending problem.

Last year, the Democrat-led majority in Sacramento killed the Republican plan to balance the budget without raising taxes or cutting education. They gave in to special interests who wanted to preserve funding for pet projects and maintain the status quo.

This is one example of misplaced priorities that are at the root of California's problems. Job-killing regulations increase unemployment and are ruining our economy. Our future obligations for public employee pensions dwarf the entire state budget many times over. It's time for reform.

Reform from within is an uphill battle. Sacramento is still controlled by the same institutions that created this problem, and they will not give up until they bankrupt our state.

Last year, I introduced legislation to take special interest money out of politics. The bill was killed in its first committee. Now we're taking that message to the voters with an initiative on the November ballot.

I'm running for reelection to continue working on a plan to reform California. California is a great place to live, and we owe it to ourselves to fix our great state.

The opportunity to continue working on these plans will not come without a spirited fight. Special interests are threatened by reform, and they've made me a target. This is nothing new, but with your help, we can continue fighting for California's future.
